Probst decides to spell out exactly what they're trying to make out of their puzzle pieces: the giant "redemption island arena symbol." I was not aware that Redemption Island Arena got its own symbol. I'm pretty sure it doesn't deserve one. Even one as dumb as this, which looks like a guy standing spread-eagled with crab hands and feet. Soon, Christine is done except for one piece that's upside-down, so clearly she is going to take this thing. Suddenly, Mikayla thinks she's solved it and calls for Probst to check it. NO! CHRISTINE MUST ALWAYS WIN! This cannot be!! And then Probst gleefully cries "NOPE!" because she's wrong. Even though Probst obviously wants Mikayla to win, he can't help but love it when a contestant screws up a puzzle. Probst encourages Mikayla to do things like "look at it" to see where she went wrong, while Christine keeps working ... and solves it. Unfortunately, Probst is too busy blabbering on about looking for clues and adjusting to hear her first ten calls to him to check her work. Finally, he comes over and, obviously annoyed, pronounces her the winner.
Mikayla gives a teary good-bye speech about wanting to be "better" and "stronger" as a person (like Christine!) and then leaves, much to what had to be her surprise. I feel bad for her, but she really didn't do anything when she was in the game other than try to coast by on her strength even when it seemed obvious that that wouldn't be enough. Anyway, Probst reminds Christine that she has taken five people out of this game so far. "You're becoming a legitimate force," he says. Oh, fuck you, Probst. "Becoming?" Really? She's been awesome since Day 1. "I've always been a legitimate force," Christine says, putting a hand up but somehow resisting the urge to slap Probst with it. He sends her away as Ozzy looks on and says something about how when the tribes merge, Christine could go with Savaii or go back to her old tribe. Even though she's made it very clear - as did her former tribemates just a few minutes ago - that she doesn't want anything to do with Upolu and vice-versa, Ozzy worries that Christine will go back to Upolu and give them a numbers advantage in the merge. So, he says, if his tribe loses again, they should send someone to Redemption who can beat Christine. Even though no one can beat Christine, ever. "You gotta make big moves in this game," Ozzy concludes. Yes, you do. They probably shouldn't be stupid ones, though.
