And then Holly steps forward to bond with the new people who don't hate her yet, saying that Chase and Ben remind her of her sons, while Alina reminds her of her youngest daughter. For some strange reason, NaOnka doesn't remind Holly of any family members. Holly and Chase bond over the "good huntin'" that can be found in Holly's native land of South Dakota, and then Holly interviews that this switch has been wonderful for her, and the "kids" relate very well to her and she wants them to know that she'll be honest with them. Well, sucks to be you, Dan, Tyrone, and Yve! Holly is defecting. I guess you guys shouldn't have made it so obvious that you didn't like her. Holly and NaOnka take a walk down the beach, and NaOnka says she likes Holly's "energy," thereby showing a previously unseen friendly and not immediately hostile bitch side of NaOnka. She might be a pleasant person after all, sometimes. But I have a feeling the editors have no intention of showing us many of those times.
Holly says that her kids are always telling her how much fun she is to hang out with, which cannot possibly be true. As Alina walks up, Holly says she feels a "connection" with them both. She interviews that she thinks she'll go further in this game on the younger people's side than she will with those nasty old people who don't like her anyway. She says if the "kids" come to her, she's ready to join up with them. She's probably at the bottom of the totem pole no matter which side she goes with at this point, so yeah, why not side with the younger people? So far, they've spoken to her and not fucked her over, unlike her old tribemates. Just don't throw their lunch or shoes into the ocean and you should be fine with your new friends, Holly. Holly asks Alina and NaOnka how they feel about switching tribes. Alina honestly says she's fine with it, since she isn't losing anything by leaving La Flor. Holly says that's how she was feeling too, since Jane was her only ally before. "So you lost Jane and you gained us," Alina says. NaOnka interviews that with Holly on their team, they'll have five people and thus the numbers, which is all she wants at this point. As she and Alina talk by the woodpile, NaOnka continues that now that she and Alina are the only ex-La Florian women on Espada, their relationship has had to change. Basically, NaOnka is being nice to Alina because she needs her. And vice-versa.
