Roger's reading the paper that Janet does not work at and waiting for his wife at the train station when he happens to see the angry Susan walking out of the station. He seizes the chance to break the let-us-never-speak-again thing to tell Susan he accepted the job in Cincinnati, and alludes to Janet possibly not taking it as well as had been hoped. "We've lived here our whole lives. It's not an easy thing to wrap your head around over breakfast," he says. Susan stammers a question about whether or not the Thompsons will make it to the Deckers' clambake, and Roger says it's possible, but he's flying to Cincinnati that night to begin the house-hunting. Susan says with feeling, "This is all really good news. She's bound to see that. I'm proud of you, Roger." She gives him a hug and says, "Tell Janet to call me, okay?" Roger's like, What? Am I not the main attraction anymore?
