Amy & Daniel are at the Bund, where Daniel marvels at the skyline. Abbie & Ryan and Caitlin & Brittany are arriving in their cabs at about the same time, and quickly spot each other. Amy and Daniel aren't too distracted by the view to spot the woman under the umbrella, and they head right over to collect their clue. It's already sending them to the Pit Stop, the Bund Signal Tower. Phil clarifies that they need to make their way on foot to the "Bund Observatory," which must have been relatively high when it was first built a hundred years ago, but is now dwarfed by the skyline across the harbor. Which, let's face it, looks like the world's largest dildo shelf. Sorry, I just couldn't keep it in any more (that's what she said).

From the roof of the tower's main structure, Phil rocks a wide-brimmed Panama hat as he says this is the first Pit Stop, and "the last team to check in here will be eliminated." Amy and Daniel ask a local for directions, and he not only points them in the right way but shows them a picture of the tower on his phone. That's something you probably wouldn't have seen in the premiere season. While they're still talking to him, Abbie and Ryan and the blondes roll up and ask if they found the abacus. Amy and Daniel give them all-too-precise directions 150 yards thataway, and head off in the direction of the signal tower. The other two teams quickly find Abacus Lady and collect their clues, then hurry to the signal tower. "This is our time to shine," Ryan says. Not exactly.

Up ahead, Amy and Daniel have spotted the signal tower. He's carrying both backpacks again (or still), and they're jogging as fast as her abbreviated legs will probably allow. They've been spotted by Abbie and Ryan, the latter of whom predicts, "We're gonna catch 'em, we're gonna catch 'em." He may be right; it looks like Amy has had to slow to a painful but rapid walk, as Daniel tells her he's proud of her from between both their backpacks. Abbie and Ryan do indeed pass them up, Ryan saying, "Sorry, guys. This is for two million." Amy pushes herself to a brief jog, remembering that they told the team who just passed them where to find the abacus. Yeah, go ahead and help other teams if you want, but when you're in the lead? And it's the last clue before the Pit Stop? And getting there first could mean the difference between winning two million and one million? That's just lousy racing, is all.
