Hayden and Aaron and Lori and Bolo arrive at the beach and run for the clue. And it's a Detour. Phil explains about the pros as well as the cons, and then tells us that the choice is Ice Climb or Ice Search. In Ice Climb, they travel 35 miles, put on gear, and climb up an ice wall. Phil says it could be scary, but won't take too long. Ice Search sends you to a "glacial lagoon," where you get in a boat with a driver and wander around looking for a buoy with clues attached to it. Not scary, but it could take a long time. Both Lori and Bolo and Hayden and Aaron decide to head for the climb. In their SUV, Bolo assures Lori that Hayden will slow that team down, because "she's weak." Pretty cocky for a guy who cramped up running to the subway, there, Hercules. At the same time, Aaron is telling Hayden that in case she hasn't noticed, Bolo and Lori are bulky but not exactly fleet-footed. Hayden agrees that she thinks they can outclimb them.

Spazpants, Hornio, and Nuance get to the clue. Jonathan impatiently and condescendingly says, "Come on. Time's of the wasting." You just couldn't make him up if you tried. As the teams exit the parking lot, Hornio and Spazpants are both bickering over driving issues. Jonathan speeds up to pass the other two teams. He then lectures Victoria that when they arrive at their destination, they'll need to jump out of the car and "run to wherever the hell we're going." It's a good thing he's there to help her with the complicated parts. She's distracted, and not really listening because everything he's saying is so fucking stupid, so he hits her with, "Can you acknowledge to me, please." She acknowledges.

Ice camp. The stragglers are leaving. Meredith and Maria, Don and MJ, Gus and Hera. Meanwhile, Lena and Kristy get to the Detour and choose the climb. "Don't you think this will be awesome?" Lena asks as they drive toward it. Kristy isn't so sure, calling herself "so weak." Lena tells her she has to do it anyway, and Kristy interviews that indeed, Lena is a "good cheerleader." Mm-hmm. Here come Joe and Avi and Kris and Jon, and when they hit the Detour, Kris and Jon take the climb, while Joe and Avi blanch. They decide that seven square miles really isn't that big, and that the lagoon is closer, so they'll go with that. Meanwhile, Kris is still happy. "Our first Detour, I'm so excited!" Hee hee. That's a fan of the show, is what that is. "I am too," he says. Aw. They're sweet.

Avi and Joe get to the lagoon and pick out a boat. They wonder which way to go first. "If I were a buoy, where would I be?" Joe wonders. Hee. I like him. Elsewhere, Hayden and Aaron and Bolo and Lori find the ice climb starting point. They all run down to a spot where they put on their climbing gear.
