Gus and Hera and Avi and Joe are nearing the Blue Lagoon. When Gus and Hera get out of the car, they don't see the pit stop right away. And when she sees it, it's on the other side. Avi and Joe are pretty confident as they pull in that they're not last. Interestingly, when they run into Gus and Hera, Gus tells the boys not to bother looking at this spot, because this isn't the pit stop. Avi, however, isn't sure he totally trusts Gus, so he wants to look for himself. They eventually spot the flags from exactly the spot where Gus and Hera saw them, so they know that indeed, they are in the wrong place. They head for their car.

Nearing the pit stop are Meredith and Maria, Hornio, and Don and MJ. The first two of these teams arrive at the pit stop at the same time, and in one of the only footraces to the mat we've ever seen, Hornio passes the girls with only a few steps to go, really, and makes it to the mat ahead of them. What is completely -- completely -- unnecessary is that Rebecca then leans around Adam to get in the faces of Meredith and Maria and goes, "Ah-ha-HA!" Wow, that suuuuucked. I officially cannot stand her. Plus, El Hornio spits on the mat while Phil is welcoming them. You couldn't hold the loogie for twenty seconds? The teams all hug when they learn their placement, but Rebecca, that ain't going to change what you did when you thought you knocked them out of the race by a few feet, which was graceless and twerpy and just plain goddamn mean, and you are on the hook for it but good.
