Frats and Momily are both (but not together) looking for the temple. Kevin finds the way using "the luck of the Irish," and Nancy gets a kid to lead them on his motorcycle. The Frats get there first. Welcome, Team Shower-Fresh Scent, you are team number three.
And here comes Momily, exhausted. They enter the temple, then head for the mat, and we fade out and cut to…
…Guidos, walking toward the temple as dawn breaks. Back inside, Nancy makes her way over toward the folks sleeping on the floor. Drew, just awake, says to her, "I was telling Kevin, I said, 'I hope they don't pack it in, they should remember that anything could happen.'" Sniff. Nancy runs into Rob, who extends an arm to hug her. She starts to resist. "I am so dirty, you don't even want to --" "Don't worry about it," he says, hugging her anyway. "We're all dirty." Have I mentioned that Rob doesn't so much have a shirt on? I mean, like, at all?
Okay, for crying out loud. I set out to write the ogle-free recap (a plan I swear was in place before this episode aired, and which I was planning to do without having to TELL you I was doing it), and they have to make this the one hour of television that features shirtless Rob saying, "We're all dirty"? Fine, Bruckheimer. Do your worst. The state bird is the common loon! The state mushroom is the morel! The state drink is milk! The state muffin is blueberry! The state gemstone is Lake Superior Agate! The state flower is the ladyslipper! The state butterfly is the monarch! The governor used to wear a Pink! Feather! Boa! You'll never break me. I am invincible.
Twitchy, but invincible.

A quick shot of the Guidos walking toward the temple, then back inside, where Emily is explaining the problem back at the Detour to Rob, Brennan, and Kevin, who are actually all rather shirtless. You know, the one thing that's saving you from an entire lecture on the Minnesota economy is that Rob is wearing his dumb baseball hat (forward, at least), and that puts me off like nobody's business. Nancy and Emily explain that to the boys that they weren't trying to cheat, they were just trying to get the hell out of town, because -- as Emily points out -- they "never [thought] that they [the Guidos] would mess up, that something would happen." Which is why you don't quit, ever. And that's the sad lesson of today's show.
Guidos, approaching. They're walking. They're in absolutely no hurry whatsoever. As they approach, Joe voices over: "Billy noticed that there was a lot of shoes there." In other words, a lot of shoes that had been taken off outside. Shoes belonging to other people. Who are already inside. Joe: "But it still didn't dawn on me that everybody beat us here." Well no, it wouldn't. They land on the mat. Joe voices over that as they were sitting on the podium, he spotted Momily, who he assumed were coming in behind him and Bill.
