The end of the Road Block is in sight for Ericka and Jessica, and Ericka says she's having duck for dinner as she gets one last reluctant duck into place. Jessica also finishes up, and that's everyone. The last two teams run through the streets, the men hurrying their exhausted partners along. Garrett pretty much pushes over a guy on a bicycle, which is always something you like to see in these goodwill ambassadors to the world. At last, the tenth team to arrive, with him carrying both backpacks, is...Brian and Ericka.
They're clear of the mat by the time Garrett and Jessica arrive. Phil changes up his usual speech a bit, telling them, "Garrett and Jessica, this is the end of your Amazing Race. I'm sorry to tell you, you are the last team to arrive. You have been eliminated from the race." Garrett totally hulks out, slamming his hands against the roof overhang and roaring angrily. Even the music seems worried. "Des he get angry like this... normally?" Phil asks Jessica with concern. Yeah, if he can't blame his temper on "female drama" or a "fiery Colombian side," what's his excuse? Actually, Jessica is left to make them for him, saying he's just disappointed after they worked so hard. This does have to smart, getting eliminated when one task ago they were in second place. Afterward, Garrett interviews that they're "Stronger than what our placing shows." He admits that "Jess kept a really cool head most of the time on the race and that's what I was looking for." Well, she must be so proud. I'm glad she didn't do anything embarrassing like throwing a roaring, boat-slapping wobbler on camera. As for their relationship? "I don't know if we're closer to marriage," he concludes. "You never know." She just laughs uncomfortably. But then they get engaged off-camera. Why didn't they show that? Well, I guess they wanted us to have a happy ending.
