Vyxsin babbles, and Kynt nastily tells her to shut up again. They decide to run for the Detour, and Phil reminds us that if a car is "deemed inoperable" (apparently it doesn't matter how it came to be that way) a replacement car will be provided, "however, no time credit will be given for this unlucky situation." I wonder if they're still using the same Phil VO from back in, like, Season One, or if they make him retape it every season. If I were Phil, I'd point out that I get quite enough repetition on this show as it is. As they take off (with all their stuff, which seems weird, but maybe they were afraid the broken car would get towed with their stuff in it?) Kynt notes that the replacement car should be there by the time they get back. They can't be that far away from the flag Detour, so it seems like they're still in it.
Ron and Chris are team number three. He sort of half hugs her and half collapses onto her, which seems...fitting, somehow.
Rachel is taking a turn at the wheel, and she's giggling and TK is laughing as he tells her to push, and if it's not going to be Nick and Don, I hope these two win. TK: "Da Vinci must have been buff, man." Hee. They realize they have the stone high enough to use the mirror, and they get the Boboli Gardens clue and head for their car, which, as you'll remember, is back in town. And town is where Kynt and Vyxsin have just arrived. TK and Rachel reach their car and proclaim it "the leg from hell," and I'm sure next time they'll refrain from such hex-attracters until they're actually on the mat. TK and Rachel see Kynt and Vyxsin and are psyched. Kynt and Vyxsin make it to the flags, and Kynt claims that the task will be easy for them, and you'd think someone who's so convinced of his own grace wouldn't have come off like such a douche this leg, wouldn't you? They receive their training. TK is saying how they need to go go go go go...and just like that, one of his tires blows out. The cameraman and the sound guy are unable to contain their joy any longer and immediately start making out. TK manages to pull into a service station, but the tire is completely flat. As they get their stuff out of the back (so they can jack the car more easily, I'm assuming), Rachel proclaims the day "incredible." She's still...not freaking out. It's pretty, dare I say, amazing.
