Derek's first shot is a loser. He chews his gum nervously. Zach asks his instructor whether he's blessed the bow with special powers (heh), and interviews that he liked the idea of doing this, because he did some archery at summer camp (double heh). Kenny's first shot? Nothing doing. John Vito's? Same. Moreover, Jon Bon Vito has now figured out that he has trouble winking the correct eye in order to focus, so he's going to have to switch the bow to the other side. Ian prepares for his first shot. "Relax," Teri says reassuringly. "Teri, don't talk to me," he barks. This from the guy who screams, "Come on!" about twice per minute. Fortunately for those of us who don't like him, his first shot sucks. Ha! Zach, on the other hand? Zach appears to hit the apple on his first shot. He and Flo hug joyously, and she interviews that this made them very happy, because this is their first really good Roadblock performance. They get the next clue, which tells them to get to the Chalet Arnika in Grindelwald. Phil calls the chalet "iconic." Wow, I think someone on the crew packed a thesaurus. I do have to agree that the chalet is gorgeous and adorable. Flo babbles excitedly as she and Zach take off for the pit stop.

Back to John Vito's left-handed adventures. In order to get his eyes working, he has to shift and shoot left-handed. He confirms that this works better, although it's not ideal, I'm sure. His next shot, however, is no good, although according to how long the soundtrack holds on the super-high vibrating violin that signifies the wait to see whether it hits the target, the arrow takes about ten minutes to travel across the field, which must have led to quite the buildup of suspense. (I mock, but I should mention that I actually thought the use of music here was terrific.) Kenny's, on the other hand, hits its mark, and he and Gerard take off. Ian hits his apple next. "Got it, got it, got it, got it, got it!" he hollers at the rest of the teams. "Come on, girl!" he screams at Teri as they leave. "I can still shoot!" Yeah. You were third out of five, and one of the guys ahead of you went to Vassar. Whatever, jackass.
