Jet and Cord are actually stunned when they reach the sign and see that the Globetrotters U-Turned them. "Them two suckers," they spit. Such language! All they can do is head back to town to do the fondue. "Ready to go eat some cheese?" Jet says. "Nope," Cord says. "Me neither," Jet allows. Which I think is as close to quitting as they've ever gotten.
Flight Time and Big Easy arrive at the mat as team number five. "And you know that because you had to U-Turn the Cowboys, correct?" Phil asks, looking very serious. Big Easy says. "We don't know who was ahead of us. We had a terrible day today, but we're still racing." Yes, after blowing both the Road Block and the Detour before screwing another team, they can't be feeling like big winners right now.
At the restaurant, Jet and Cord settle down to their fondue meal, clinking their glasses and seeming to get through it with aplomb and very little loser-editing. "See y'all next year," Jet says to the polka band. They're off with one last "Oh, my gravy."
At the mat, they're out of breath as Phil regretfully tells them they're the last to arrive, and are out of the race. "So what happened?" Phil asks. Jet tries to shoulder all of the blame, but Cord loyally insists that they're a team. I always said they were interchangeable. They interview about how Amazing the Race is, getting to race together and all. "Nobody else I'd rather be traveling around the country with," Jet says, but then remembers, "Maybe my wife." "I don't blame you, "Cord says. Good save, both of you. And with one final reprise of the Heroic Cowboy Theme, we're out on their last rodeo.
