On the train, Jen talks about how nice it is to be ahead, but Justin says he's not getting complacent. I wouldn't either, traveling next to those two lead-blowers. In fact, he and Zev should consider switching trains.
At the castle, Cord is nervously thinking about all the catching up he and Jet will have to do -- if and when Jet actually shows up. Jet has at least presented Marco with the correct answer, so he gets to buzz up to the castle now.
It's not enough, though; all the other teams are on one train or another to Zermatt. Cord, wearing both hats, is happy to finally see Jet. Jet's worried about being in last place, though. As he should be. Because they are. By a lot.
After a quick shot of the Matterhorn, shrouded in time-lapse clouds and blizzards, we're in Zermatt, which at night looks like a life-sized Christmas village. The first train pulls in and everyone runs right to the clue box. "Cheese or Wheeze," Jen reads from the clue. Phil explains how Zermatt is all about hospitality to the people "who show up with huge amounts of luggage and huge appetites." For "Cheese," the teams have to go to a restaurant and eat a big pot of cheese fondue, after which they'll get a clean pot with the clue inside. Too bad the clue isn't printed in the bottom of the pot they have to eat out of, so they have to carry that stinky, sticky thing around for the rest of the leg. For "Wheeze," they'll need to deliver twenty pieces of luggage from the train station to at least five different hotels all over town. I don't like cheese that much, but I like work less. After they return twenty correct delivery tags to the train station, "The head porter will give them the next clue." Oh, and the bags are already tagged with the names of hotels, so it's not like they can just run around dropping them off randomly.
Justin is a little wary of taking on another food challenge after what happened last week, but Zev insists he's hungry. Jen and Kisha make the same call, but Zev and Justin seem to find the restaurant sooner. Of course there's a polka band playing. As soon as they sit down and see how much cheese they'll have to eat, Justin is voicing strong doubts, but Zev assures him it's cool. The sisters arrive and tuck in, although Jen is worried that she won't be able to poop for a while after this. Before long, both teams are considering switching, but Kisha pulls the trigger first. Zev is still keeping hope alive. Hope, and his apparent love of cheese.
