Kendra begins to lower herself, as Aaron starts to wash the window. On the ground, El Hornio gnashes his teeth over how Nuance wasn't being strategic; they were just getting revenge. Well, right. There actually isn't any rule requiring you to be emotionally mature. Aaron uncovers the words "Tai Chi," and then he starts to lower himself toward the ground. Hornio watches the other teams coming down the building, and Rebecca points out that she's only done three so far, and El Hornio has done five, so it's time for her to do this one. El Hornio says that he wishes he could see if Kendra is crying. Oh, I wouldn't get too pleased with yourself until you can do something scary without addressing your mommy in a squealy voice, there, Iron Man.
Kendra is, in fact, pretty whimpery, particularly when she gets blown around by the wind. It's hard when you're all bones. At the bottom, Kris is getting into the elevator after her good-luck kiss. Aaron gets to the bottom of the wall, while Kendra complains (yes, really) that her squeegee isn't working. That's right, her squeegee is broken. But just as Aaron hits the ground in first place, she finally uncovers the words. As Hayden runs over to Aaron, he reports the message "tai chi" to the supervisor, and they get their clue. "Was it scary?" Hayden asks. "Could I have done that?" "No," he says flatly, though it's not clear which question he's answering. If it was the first one, he's just kind of being Stoic Guy, but if it was the second one? Awwwwesome. Hee. When they read their clue, it tells them to go to the Monument to the People's Heroes on the Bund. Phil explains that at the monument, they'll find a group of tai chi practitioners, and they'll look among them for one of four "masters" who has the clue. As Hayden and Aaron leave, Freddy asks Aaron if Kendra was struggling, and Aaron assures him that she wasn't -- that she was on her way down behind him and not to worry. And indeed, Kendra is working her way down the wall, though she's very nervous. Interestingly, despite Hayden's earlier moaning over how they needed to make Nuance wait for them, she does not propose waiting for Nuance. Go figure. Kris is starting down the wall now, too, and as Freddy passes Jon at the bottom of the tower, Jon says, "Thank you for not Yielding us," and they shake hands, and Freddy laughs. "I had payback," Freddy says. (Inside Jon's head: "Well, then thanks for being a dumb-ass, yo.") (Come on, you know that's how his head would say it.)
