The first Swiss Air flight to Munich, leaving at 7:10, carries Jaime and Cara (Team Go Team), Kisha|Jen, Steve|Linda, Margie|Luke, Mel|Mike (sitting one behind the other in middle seats, so it looks like they were among the last to reserve their tickets), Brad|Victoria, Amanda|Kris, and Tammy|Victor. That leaves the Stuntmen and the Flight Attendants stranded in Zurich, waiting for their Lufthansa flight. "We went from third to ninth," Mark says. Teach them to chill. Michael at least recognizes their mistake. Which is good, but now I fear they'll never chill again.

So an Amazing Red Line and an Amazing Blue line arch over the 3-D map of Europe from Zurich to Munich. Seriously, you guys, I think the Amazing Yellow Line never made it out of rehab. At the Munich Airport, Tammy and Victor are off with an early lead, being the first team to grab one of the cars that are just sitting there waiting for them. That is so convenient. I think I'll go to Munich sometime if that's how it works. Amanda|Kris are in second, with Margie|Luke in third. Luke signals behind him to Team Go Team, who are in fourth. "I love Luke and his mom, they're freaking awesome," one of the cheerleaders says. Mel|Mike are enjoying their ride on the autobahn as well. "Das ist gut. Das is sehr sehr gut," Mel says. What a shame that his German is wasted on a leg where they don't have to deal with cab drivers. Jen and Kisha, meanwhile, have veered off the autobahn and onto surface streets, but the subtitles seem confident that they're still in sixth place. The sisters would probably feel better if they could see those.

Tammy drives herself and Victor to Ruhpolding (Sashay! Chanté!), with no other teams visible in their rearview mirror. They park and run to the ticket window, noticing that the little clock says the next cable car leaves in two minutes. By the way, as far as I can tell, it looks like the mountain and the cable car have been shut down for the production today, since we never see anyone else wandering around. Amanda|Kris arrive just in time for Tammy|Victor to spot them from above as the cable car winches them up steeply from the boarding platform. Now Kris and Amanda will have to wait fifteen minutes for the next one. Tammy and Victor enjoy the ride and the view, but don't waste time disembarking at the top. Arrow signs direct them to a clue box, where the envelope asks, "Who's ready to fly like an eagle?" And fuck you, Amazing Race, for making sure I have that Steve Miller song in my head all week.
