Come Fly with Me

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
2 oz. Hangar 1 (heh) Kaffir Lime Vodka
1 lime

The Shake:
Start by making a ginger-infused simple syrup. Add the sugar and water in a saucepan and put the saucepan over medium heat. Stir with a plastic whisk or spoon until the sugar dissolves. Bring the mixture to a simmer. Next, add the ginger and simmer for about 5 minutes. Let the syrup cool completely before straining out the ginger.

In a shaker filled with ice, add the vodka and squeeze in the entire lime. Pour into a cocktail glass. Then, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of the ginger-infused simple syrup, to taste. Sit back and enjoy the flight.

Store the rest of the simple syrup in an airtight container in the fridge and use whenever you want.

Last week, the teams showcased a cottage cheese car and Leslie was skimmed off the top when she was found to be curdled. Yes, I know Lucerne also a town in Switzerland, but I've never been to Switzerland and I have been to Safeway, so when I hear "Lucerne" all I think of is cottage cheese. Okay?

Marcela and Ryan return to the loft, and Bethenny squawks her pleasure like some exotic, dairy-free bird. Getting the lowdown on what happened in the conference room, Bethenny lolls on the couch, molding her dinners into a black pit of despair as she goggles over the fact that Marcela has been called to the conference room no less than five times. Bethenny thinks that Ryan is a shoo-in for the final four, and tells him so. She then confessionals that she told him he was a shoe-in so he wouldn't approach the next task with a "killer instinct." In another room, Marcela and Ryan agree that Ryan will be PM on the next task, and Marcela comments that Ryan's not going to be as anxious about winning as she will. Ryan says he just wants them to have FUN.Out in the living room, Hateful Jim and Bethenny dish on how Marcela and Ryan don't seem to realize that their lofty days are numbered. "Of course they don't know -- the sheep don't know that they're going to be slaughtered," Hateful Jim says.
