Back at the house, the cooking commences. Heba does not know how to turn on the oven. Red Amy can't make pasta. Brady avails himself of the Zip Loc Steam N' Seal bags. I mean... I am no food snob, but I really don't know about cooking mussels in a plastic bag in the microwave. Despite the culinary fumbles, everyone agrees that all the dishes came out looking pretty good. The team members who have to taste and judge are suspicious of their culinarily unskilled family members. Nonetheless, they risk their lives by taking a bit of everything. Vicky takes a strong anti-cauliflower position. The results are tallied, and the tiny turkey meatball soup wins! That's Amy from the Purple team, who just days ago couldn't tell a zucchini from a cucumber. My, how far we've all come!
Last-chance workout! Beatings, beatings, beatings. You know the drill. And in case you forgot, week two is the Week of Dread. Also in case you forgot, Jillian is kind of pissed about the Yellow team's 14-pound gamble. She takes her anger out on the whole team, and L.T. notes that she's on a fucking rampage. Jillian laughs, because she lives for that shit. When Coleen starts to fall apart during the last-chance workout, Jillian screamopsychoanalyzes her. Coleen never lets herself come close to success! She's scared of failing! She's sabotaging herself! And if she's not willing to do the work, Jillian can't help her. Jillian tells her to either fall apart and go home, or try and take a chance and succeed. She tells Coleen that this isn't going to kill her. It for sure might kill Jerry, who's on oxygen as he's on the treadmill. Coleen decides to work through the pain and get it done.
Weigh-ins! Wait, make that the Dreaded Week Two weigh-in! Where people average only a 2% loss! But the Yellow team bet that they could lose 2.4%. They can either win $10,000, or find themselves automatically in danger of being eliminated. Jillian does not seem particularly optimistic about their chances.
Vicky and Brady are first to weigh in. Vicky goes from 227 to 223, while Brady goes from 313 to 306. This means that Vicky has lost 4 pounds, Brady has lost 7, and total they've lost 11. That's 2.04%. Slightly better than the average! The Purple Team is next. Amy goes from 222 to 219, for a loss of 3, while Shellay goes from 204 to 201, also for a loss of 3. That's 6 pounds total, or 1.41%. Amy is pretty happy that they didn't win the auction. The Pink Team is next. Renee goes from 253 to 248, for a loss of 5, while Michelle goes from 225 to 223, for a loss of 2. Michelle says that the number is low, but her spirit is really high. She earned those two pounds, and respects them. The Pink Team lost 7 pounds total, or 1.46%. Next is the Red Team. Amy goes from 213 to 209, for a loss of 4, while Phil goes from 308 to 300, for a loss of 8. That's 12 pounds total, or 2.30%. Coleen is totally sweating.
