The teams start walking. The Black Team's strategy is simple -- go up together and come down together and get the bonus point each time. No matter how many breaks they need or how tough it gets, they're going to stay together. The Blue Team, however, has a different strategy. Vicky is having a hard time, and Heba says that they realized if they waited for her every time they'd lose. They split up, and hope that Brady will be able to do enough laps on his own that he'll make up the extra points that they're losing. Brady notes that you're only as fast as your slowest person, and unfortunately his wife is pretty slow. The Black Team keeps at their unified approach, and everyone struggles as temperatures hit 112 degrees. Michelle tells us that it was becoming almost unbearable, and Heba notes that it was hotter than 50 hells. She's tired and aching and ready for the day to be over.

Red Amy comes up with the idea to talk to the Black Team about taking a collective break so none of them die of heat exhaustion. Seriously, have a siesta and a low-cal popsicle. Purple Amy says that they agreed to the break, trusting that no one would go up and down the hill during the break. Everyone goes and climbs into bed, and then Shellay gets to thinking. She wonders if everyone is REALLY hanging out in the house and not walking up the mountain. She tells Purple Amy that she has to go eat something, and goes to talk to Coleen. She asks how they know that no one's out there. Coleen is having the same thoughts, and feels like she should be walking. Shellay says that she was stupid in the last temptation, and wonders if she's being stupid again. Coleen notes that she doesn't want to be dishonest, but Shellay wonders if the Blue Team made the agreement because they knew they were ahead. Methinks Shellay might be overthinking. However, she's certain that her team needs to win, and that she should be climbing the mountain. She and Coleen go back and forth about it, but Coleen says that she gave her word and it would be going against everything she believed. So she doesn't. Sucker.
