Anyway, temptation challenge. There is a vending machine filled with delicious yet junky snacks. However! The vending machine also has some packs of Wrigley's Extra Sugar Free gum. If the contestants opt to take a whirl, the vending machine will dispense something at random. If they get the junk food, they have to eat it. However, if they get a pack of gum they get the dollar amount printed on the back of the pack -- anywhere from $500 to $5,000 -- and they can opt to chew a piece of gum on their next turn even if junk food is dispensed. So basically they get a free turn. There's one final thing in the vending machine -- a one pound pass. If a contestant gets it, he or she gets to take one extra pound off of his/her weight at the next weigh-in. Kelly is jonesing for the pass, as she feels like she'll go home if the Black Team loses the weigh-in.

Roger volunteers to take a crack at the machine first. It's in its own little room, so no one can see what the other contestants do. Roger has had a long and productive relationship with vending machines. Obviously. He chooses number B3 -- for 3 members of the Blue Team remaining, of course -- and gets a pack of gum. Jerk. He wins $1000. Next he goes for E6, and gets a bag of chips. He has a piece of gum instead, which adds five calories to his tally. And THEN, he picks C3 -- for C3PO -- and totally gets the one pound pass! Luck is on his side.

Dan is next, and gets a bag of potato chips. He eats them and tries again, this time getting a pack of M&Ms. He eats these, and then tries again, getting some of those orange cracker sandwiches that are so weird and yet so tasty. What brave chemical is responsible for that orange deliciousness? So far, Dan has eaten about 900 calories. This doesn't stop him, though, and he tries again and gets a KitKat. He's at 1100 calories, and is also feeling sick to his stomach. He's about to walk away, but gives it a final whirl. And he gets the gum! It's $1,000. He tries again and gets more gum -- $2,000 this time. That should cover the tattoo removal. And then, I shit you not, he gets three packs of gum in a row! The last one is worth $5,000, and all in all he's netted $9,500. Worth the 1100 calories, I think. So does he. Boom shakalaka. Jay is up next and immediately gets the one pound pass. Double jerk!
