Kelly goes in next. She gets a Twinkie. It is a quality vending machine that gives you Hostess goods. She eats it and tries again. This time she gets peanut butter cups. She eats them, and feels a little nauseous. She's conflicted, but tries once more. This time she gets some Oreos. She tries once more and, much to her chagrin, gets KitKats. She's had about 900 calories total, and really is not so into the sweets. She's totally about to hurl. Even worse, she's ingested a bunch of calories and has nothing to show for it. She walks away from the machine, resigning to work her butt off in the gym. Bernie takes a turn, and gets some Doritos. Mmm, Cool Ranch. It is seriously distressing how easily I can identify snacks. Bernie takes another turn and gets gum worth $2,000! He says it's crazy to win money for eating chips. He's been doing it his whole life and is broke as hell. I wish my office had a magic vending machine. I'd weigh 600 pounds but after a year or two I'd have gotten enough packs of gum to retire. Bernie takes another whirl and gets more gum, this time worth $500. He tells us that's a fat gold chain for his dog. He tries again and this time he gets the one pound pass! He is beyond thrilled, and is also about to propose to the vending machine. I bet that's legal in Canada.

Next is Brittany. She gets the M&Ms, which are worth 450 calories. She tries again and gets the one pound pass! This is worth more than all the magic gum money in the world to her. Finally, there's Maggie. She, too, gets a one pound pass right off the bat! Aw, poor Kelly. All she gets is fatter. The contestants reconvene, and Sami tells them that they don't have to tell her or anybody what happened in the magic vending machine room -- it's entirely up to them. Kelly really, really wants to know. She hits the gym posthaste, knowing her vulnerable status. She explains to us that Brittany, Bernie and Maggie are very tight. She's the odd one out, and has to be the Biggest Loser of the Week if she is to survive. She's said that, like, every week and is clearly still here, so I wouldn't put much store by it.
