Michelle is completely spent as Jillian makes her box, and starts crying. Jillian asks Michelle what she wants to say. Michelle wants to say nothing, and just cries. So Jillian actually beats her, all the while continuing to ask if Michelle has something to say to her. Jillian tells us that Michelle has no voice, and is in fact a doormat. Jillian is going to beat the door and the mat right out of her. Jillian keeps asking Michelle what she wants to say, and Michelle keeps crying. Eventually Michelle admits that she never asserts herself. Jillian tells her that she needs to set boundaries and have a voice. For example, try saying, "Stop hitting me, crazy person." Good suggestion. Jillian says that before she came on the show, Michelle tried to be everything to everyone. Now she's a big puddle of mess and neediness. Jillian's job is to help Michelle find the middle -- to be friendly and sensitive, but to also be able to assert her needs and agenda so she can have a whole, rich, fulfilling life. Jillian eventually gets Michelle to say that she's not going to do kicks today, which I guess is a victory of sorts. If anyone else tried that, however, Jillian would scream at them until they kicked. I'm just saying.
Jerry gets back from the hospital, and Coleen goes to see him. No blood clots! Yay. However, he has a torn hamstring. Boo. He's disappointed, but Coleen says that injuries happen, especially given the intensity of their workouts. Mostly, she's just relieved that he doesn't have a blood clot. If he does what the doctor tells him, he should be okay in a few weeks. Coleen says that they both worked as hard as they could, but she's pretty worried about what they'll see on the scale.
Weigh-ins! The trainers only had one day with their teams, so aren't feeling so confident. And of course, there's a twist. Sami tells the teams that for the first time, no one will be voting at the elimination. Only one family will fall below the yellow line. And only one person from that team will be going home. Dastardly! It's up to the team, as a family, to decide who stays and who goes. Double dastardly! Michelle really hopes that she and her mom aren't below the yellow line, because she's not ready to do this by herself.
The Red Team is first to weigh in. Phil goes from 300 to 290, for a loss of 10 pounds, while Amy goes from 209 to 204, for a loss of 5. Hey, not bad! I guess that one Rolo didn't hurt them. They've lost 15 pounds total, or 2.95%. Brown is up next. Vicky goes from 223 to 220, for a loss of 3, while Brady goes from 306 to 301, for a loss of 5. They are disappointed. They've lost a total of 8 pounds, or 1.51%. Not good. The Pink Team is next. They need to have lost more than 7 pounds to survive. Michelle goes from 223 to 220 for a loss of 3, while Renee goes from 248 to 242 for a loss of 6. Well done, mama! They've lost 9 pounds, and are safe. Their total percentage lost is 1.91%. Not a banner week, but it's enough to stay in the game.
