Last but not least is Amy, who started at 260 pounds. She was hurting on the inside, but now has learned what true confidence really means. She also met her soul mate, Marty, on the show. AND IS ABOUT TO GET THE SURPRISE OF HER LIFE! Marty tears up when she comes out, and Amy talks about how they've seen each other at their best and worst, and can now be fit and healthy together. Amy steps up on the scale, and instead of showing her weight, the screen says, "Amy I love you..." Marty approaches and Amy gets all excited. He reads her a letter. I want more Wylie! I mean, sweet, whatever. And then knee, proposal, ring, etc. Amy says yes, of course. I think that if you propose to someone on TV -- or, really, in any public venue -- there's something wrong with you. It's so showboat-y. Sami Brady looks moved, though.
Okay, now that that's done, Sami tells us that we've just seen Biggest Losers Past, but now we get to see Biggest Losers Future! Preview! There will be eighteen contestants, including Patty, age thirty-four, who's having some weight-related health problems and wants to be healthy for her kids. TEARS. She's gonna make me cry all season. Then there's Jerry, age sixty-two, a retired firefighter, who also wants a better family life. We also have Hollie, a high-school teacher, who I hope will not desert the children who need her after she gets all skinny. Then we have "B," a music teacher, who is the cutest. He thinks he's a handsome guy, but gets depressed looking in the mirror. His mom has MS, and he self-medicates with food. Finally, there is Lezlye, from New Orleans, who lost a lot in Katrina. She has a son and also gets really teary. Hoo boy. Voice-Over Guy tells us that this season will have the biggest twist ever. Six players think they're being sent home, but they actually form a "black team" under someone named Jillian, who seems terrifying. Three teams, three trainers, but only one biggest loser. And this time, it's personal. Oh, phew, I'm so glad there's some drama on this show, too! See you all next week!
