It's in the Bag

Finally there's Mike, who sits with Bob. We see Mike at the beginning, weighing 526 pounds and feeling like life is passing him by. He says that he never in his worst nightmares would have dreamed that he'd be this big. And then the weight loss started. Mike dropped double digits several weeks in a row, and was elated. He dedicated his weight loss to his grandma. And then Mike ran five miles with his big afro at 372 pounds. That really was a moment. Old Mike asks new Mike if he's hurting from the workouts. He reminds him that pain is what he lives with right now -- the pain of being overweight, which he never wants to go back to. Old Mike tells new Mike not to quit, because he's so close. Mike can see the pain in his old self, and says it's tough. There are a lot of bad memories, and someday soon Mike says he'll get to be reborn in this new life that he's creating for himself. He's lost 192 pounds, and finally seems to be getting that this is a major feat.

After a commercial break, there is a Subway visit. Now with sandwiches for breakfast! Oh man, and then there are meetings with Dr. H. Mike was basically at death's door when Dr. H. first met with him, and had four chins. When Mike started the competition, his real age was 54. Now his real age is 38! Only seven years older than his actual age of 31. He's also gone from being at 15% risk for stroke to being at only a 1% risk.

Last chance workout! Final four, red line, blah blah blah. Beatings beatings beatings. Transformations. Happiness. Montages. Weird music by someone who sounds vaguely familiar. Pride. Commercials.

And then it's time for the weigh-in. The four players with the highest percentage of weight loss will be above the red line, and will be guaranteed a spot in the final four. The person who falls below the red line will be eliminated. And for the person who has the highest percentage of weight loss, Chef Curtis Stone will come to his or her home to help maintain a healthy lifestyle. Ashley, who has the hots for Curtis Stone, is so thrilled that she has to fan herself.

Mike is up first on the scale. He goes from 334 to 322, for a loss of 12 pounds or 3.59%. He has a big smile, and says it's amazing. He's proud to have broken another Biggest Loser record by shedding more than 200 lbs. on the ranch. Then there's Koli. He needs to have lost 8 pounds to beat Michael. He goes from 244 to 231, for a loss of 13 pounds. I guess he wasn't kidding with all that smack talk. Koli only wishes Sam could be there. Koli has lost 172 pounds since coming on the show. At 5.33%, Koli is guaranteed a spot in the final four.
