It all comes down to Sunshine. To guarantee a spot in the final four, she'll have to lose more than 5 pounds. Sunshine goes from 178 to 176, for a loss of 2 pounds or 1.12%. She cries. Bob cries. Sunshine congratulates Ashley. She says that being in the final four would be great, but it's awesome to see how far she's come. No one can take away her journey. She's happy and grateful for her time on campus. Bob tells her that she's shown who she is. She had to leave on the first day, and when she came back she showed everyone what she was made of. Bob tells her that she'll be greatly missed. Ashley tells Sunshine that she's absolutely beautiful, and strong. In 17 weeks, Sunshine lost 99 pounds. She tells us that she's disappointed not to be in the final four, but can't let that beat her up now. She knows how hard she's worked, and knows she's a winner. Sami officially tells Sunshine that she's been eliminated, but is still competing for the $100,000 at-home prize.
The next day, Sunshine heads to Minneapolis. She gets a ride in a limo, and can't wait to see what's unfolded for her at home. Turns out there's a huge group of folks waiting at the local high school. Sunshine looks radiant, and humbled to see everyone -- and most especially her family -- waiting for her. O'Neal is thrilled to see her smile and her confidence. He's so happy and proud for her. Sunshine tells the crowd that she's missed them all. She urges them to appreciate small victories, and says that you can achieve any goal you set your mind to. It's all about how hard you want to commit and how bad you want it. And if you fail, that's okay, but you have to get back up and do it again. Sunshine tells us that she's never felt so happy.
Sunshine is a die-hard Minnesota Twins baseball fan, and used to wear a men's X-Large jersey. Now, she's totally in, like, a women's medium. And she gets to throw the first pitch out at the game! Go, Sunshine! She's excited to do a healthy tailgate with her family. They're having turkey burgers, asparagus, fresh fruit, and a broccoli salad. The meal will be 300-400 calories of deliciousness. Sunshine heads out onto the field with O'Neal, and is overcome with happiness. Sunshine throws the pitch, which falls short of home plate but is nicely placed. O'Neal is thrilled and proud of Sunshine, and calls this a perfect day. Sunshine says that this is a perfect ending to her Biggest Loser experience. She has lost a total of 113 pounds and hopes to lose another 20 before the finale.
