The news isn't so great for the Purple Team, of course, since one of them is going home. Back at the ranch, Patti tells the group that she has a wonderful support system at home, but Stephanie doesn't. As much as she wants to stay, she says, she needs to go home and will succeed at home. Numb feet and all. Stephanie says that neither she nor her mom want to go home. She's proud of Patti. But Stephanie says that she has much further to go and can't do it at home. She asks the others to keep her on the ranch.

In the elimination room, things go as expected. Everyone votes for Patti, per her wishes. Patti says that being there has been a gift, and she believes she'll be able to succeed at home. Each of the others has touched her, but hopefully not literally. She's going to carry them all in her heart. That's a big heart. Patti lost a total of 27 pounds on the ranch. She was sick and scared when she first came on the show, but now has a sense that she can and will succeed. She's proud of herself, and can do things she never thought she could. Patti says she's not going to piss her life away anymore. The next time we see Patti, we'll see some hot senior citizen. How the heck old is she? Not that old!

We catch up with Patti. She weighed 243 pounds on the ranch, and today weighs 200 pounds. That's 43 pounds. And she's running on the treadmill with her daughter accompanying her. Patti also takes dance lessons with her husband. On numb feet! Patti and her family ran a 5K on Thanksgiving morning, and she says it's the first time her husband's ever seen her run in 45 years of being together. Dr. H. returns to visit Patti. On day one, Patti was on nine medications. And now she's on...fewer. Two, I think. Her blood pressure is lower, her cholesterol is better, and her diabetes is under much better control. And she feels better! And looks great. Go, Patti! Patti hopes to be off all of her medications and no longer be a diabetic at the finale.
