And with that it's time for elimination. Sami tells the teams to get right to it. The Pink Team votes for Carla and Joelle, despite the fact that they love Carla. The Yellow Team also loves Carla, but has to vote for her and Joelle nonetheless. Actually, they vote for JOELLE in big capital letters, with a little "& Carla" at the bottom. They really just want to send Joelle home. Joelle then wants to go on record, saying that she doesn't want to get it twisted that she hasn't worked and learned and persevered. She's offended, and says that it's hard even for her to look at her number zero. But she's proud of her work and accomplishments on the ranch. The others don't know her story, and don't get to sit there and judge her, she says. I agree. That task is better left to the home viewing audience and those who recap for them. That lady needs some meds. Or maybe she needs less meds. As I always like to say, "If you don't want people to hate you, then stop being so weird." In any case, the Blue Team votes for Joelle and Carla, as does the Green Team. The Silver Team has been eliminated. Carla is oddly calm. I bet she's saving up her energy to wallop Joelle on the plane home. Everyone hugs Carla and ignores Joelle, which seems about right.
Carla exit interviews that she's put her best foot forward in the competition. Joelle says that the hardest thing for her was the two of them working together as a team. They both want to come back at the finale and look great, she says, so their interpersonal challenges have to be worked through. Carla hopes that Joelle will be able to focus on what she needs to do at home. She needs to stop saying "I'll try," and start saying, "I will." Carla tells Joelle that her door is always open, and it's up to Joelle if she wants to come in. Joelle just kind of sits there with a weird look on her face. Maybe she's a Scientologist? Carla says that the next time we see them, they'll have lost the weight they need to, and will also have come together as a team.
