Home Is Where the Lard Is

What have I done today to make me feel proud? Well, I stopped at four glasses of wine. Bottoms up, Biggest Loser!

We begin with the Blue Team coming back from last week's elimination. The Black Team watches them file back in the house and, as the recognition that Crazy Tracey Bride of Satan is still with them hits, there are a few ill-disguised looks of shock. Someone asks what happened, and Rudy says that Coach Mo was hurting a lot and wanted to see them pull together as a team. His fear was that if he couldn't help the team on the scale, he needed to go home. Dina asks whether Coach Mo himself said that. The rest of the team answers in the affirmative, forgetting that the devil is a bad-ass ventriloquist. Dina asks if they all agreed, and Allen says that they did. This is not going over very well. Rudy interviews that the Blue Team made the choice for themselves, so if the Black Team doesn't like it, tough tutti-fruttis.

Amanda then asks Tracey if this is hard for her, since she was close with Mo. Tracey says that it's very hard, then starts crying in that special, hysterics-laden way of hers. Amanda asks what's going through her head, and Tracey says that it was obvious from the Black Team's faces as she walked in the room that they're surprised to see her there. Well, I mean, duh. Shay tries to tell us that Tracey's existence was the last thing on her mind at the moment, but I don't think that's true. She says that Tracey wants to make everything about her. I agree there, but you can't tell me that everyone on the Black Team didn't think (and hope) that she was a goner. Tracey cries like the crazy person she is about how much she hates going to the elimination room, and Shay takes that as her cue to leave. Amanda, for her part, is just glad that Tracey isn't on her team.

And speaking of Tracey, a reader wrote to me last week with a very interesting theory -- that, during the first episode, Tracey had a freaking heart attack. Thus all the weirdness around what kept her in the hospital for so long, and the whole elevated CPK levels thing. I have no knowledge as to whether this is true or not. But, I mean, if Tracey had a heart attack on the first day of the show... that's pretty fucked up. In a way, though, it's surprising that more people don't have heart attacks on this show. It's sort of more fucked up, though, if she had a heart attack and is STILL on the show under the pretense that all is okay except for a miscellaneous "muscle strain," right? But then, would the others really be so mean to someone who just had a heart attack? And either way, it can't be good for her to be under the stress that results from her own idiocy. Anyway, email me to let me know whether you think this theory has legs!
