Kelly gives the contestants a lesson in using the laser gun, and Sami awards the pop challenge bronze, silver and gold winners their prizes. Sunshine, who came in third, gets the opportunity to hit one target now. She chooses Sam. Melissa gets to hit two targets, and chooses Sam for both. Sam gets to hit three targets and doles them out in kind -- one for Sunshine, and two for Melissa. The irony! All three pop challenge winners end up at a disadvantage.
The challenge begins! Sam is off to a quick start and shoots while he can. He shoots Lance's target, and Daris follows in quick succession. A line forms to take Lance out, and O'Neal delivers the final blow. Melissa is out next, followed by Miggy, followed by Daris. Michael is out next, followed by Andrea. Sunshine is next to be eliminated, followed by Koli, followed by Sam. Darrell takes out Stephanie next. Sherry is out next, followed by Cheryl. This leaves O'Neal, Darrell and Ashley fighting for immunity. Darrell takes out Ashley, leaving him to battle with O'Neal. O'Neal hustles, and looks like he's going to die. Darrell comes charging around the corner, wheezing a bit himself but not even feeling his bad knees. Darrell's target is further up than O'Neal's, which puts him within striking distance. Both men aim at their targets at the same time, but it's O'Neal who gets his shot off a bit faster. He takes out Darrell, and wins immunity. Sunshine is thrilled, and O'Neal seems pretty stoked himself.
With that, we're back in Los Angeles. There are workouts to be had, but first the contestants go off-campus to 24 Hour Fitness, where they meet U.S. pairs figure skating champion Rockne "Rock" Brubaker. Bob tells us that he looked like a rugby player. It's true -- he's hot. Jillian says that the contestants are going to be doing a boot camp class, which is a specialty of 24 Hour Fitness. It's the last-chance workout, and Jillian, Bob and Rockne lead it. Rockne is totally afraid that someone is going to die and wants to let them take breaks. Bob will not allow it. Only he and Jillian understand exactly how close fatties can get to death without actually dying. Miggy cries and screams and gives it all that she has, as well as all that she doesn't have. Rockne seduces me with his curly hair and smoldering eyes.
And then there's more last-chance workout in the gym proper. Treadmill madness! Even though they were at the Olympic Training Center, it was still a vacation of sorts, and so everyone is a little nervous. There are beatings galore. Sam falls on the treadmill. Michael does a handstand against the wall and reminds us that he wants to break 100 pounds lost this week, thus beating Rudy's seven-week record from last season. Michael will have to lose 17 pounds to do it, which makes it seem improbable. Bob gets O'Neal and his crippled knees to stand on a Bosu ball and do mini-squats, which is a giant squat forward.
