And then it's time to visit with Dr. "Death" Huizenga! He should look into huge black wings like Frances Conroy on American Horror Story. Jackson stopped breathing for 41 seconds in his health tests, because of his fatty neck or something. And no oxygen in your brain is BAD. Pam has fatty blood. FATTY BLOOD, PEOPLE. Not to mention a fatty liver! Dr. H. says that 80% of the country is overfat. Have we REALLY gotten to the point where we're saying "overfat"? Gina basically should be dead from diabetes already. And then there's Michael, who has the arteries of a 79-year-old man and whose kid is going to be an orphan. So, that's your feelgood moment of the episode.
Jillian then has a tête-à-tête with her team, and complains about how exhausting it is for her to scream at them all the time. The tribulations that she must face! She admits that she's afraid that if she doesn't figure out a way to push them in a positive direction, they'll go home. She then says that she came back to this job because of how inspiring the contestants are to the viewers at home. Also probably bags of cash emblazoned with dollar signs. Jillian asks Pam why she's there. Pam wants to prove to herself that she can follow through with something, which she's never done. Jillian says that she can only fail if she disengages, and has to push through the terror of failing because it's worth it on the other side. Jillian asks Danni what she wants out of this experience, and Danni says that she wants to feel confident walking out of the door every morning. Jillian asks what she can do to help the contestants. Pam says that when Jillian is in her face she panics more, and so it would be helpful if Jillian gave instructions and then walked away. Jillian actually agrees to this. Danni would like a reminder that she is not pathetic. Jillian agrees to do this if Danni is in fact not pathetic, and does not verbalize sentiments such as, "I'm a fat piece of crap." Danni and Pam both seem relieved to have seen this soft-ish side of Jillian, or at least to have gotten a temporary reprieve from her screaming.
