Potes: A- | Grade It Now!

This and That

The episode opens with somber orchestral music. I know this because I accidentally ended up activating the caption function on my TV, and don't know how to turn it off. I am annoyed yet amused, just like when I am watching Heba. Phil tells us that he knows the Blue Team's decision to give Amy the boot was "in a small part" based on himself. Phil underestimates himself, doesn't he? He feels pretty bad about it, and also feels isolated since he's not sure of where he stands. He says it's tough [sniffles] because you feel like you don't know who you can trust. When Phil is having a down moment or tough day he usually turns to Amy. Well, she's not there, so buck up, baldie.

Up-tempo piano music plays as Bob meets his team and asks where Vicky is. Sadly, she's still there. Bob tells us that his heart was broken when he saw that Amy P. was gone. Vicky insincerely says in her annoying nasal voice that it's lonely without her. Talk then turns to Brady's shockingly low three-pound weight loss. Bob says that it's unheard of for a guy, then asks to talk to Vicky and Brady alone so he can figure out what's going on. Once the others have gone, Bob asks Vicky and Brady if they trust him completely, and says whatever they tell him he's not going to share with anyone. He then says in no uncertain terms that he does not believe Brady's three-pound loss. Bob interviews that Vicky is the mastermind behind everyone on the Blue Team. I think that might be giving her a little more credit than she is due, but let's go with it. Vicky and Brady deny any gamesmanship. Bob doesn't believe it for a second, and thinks that Vicky is the biggest game player who has ever walked in the house. She probably tried out for Survivor 17 times, and Temptation Island just for kicks, and then decided that she might as well just put on 120 pounds and shake things up at the Loser Ranch.

Vicky and Brady keep proclaiming their innocence, but Bob still doesn't buy it. He interviews that if they're playing the game and not telling him, it's going to be a problem. Vicky goes so far as to interview that even though Bob thinks she's game playing and lying, she and Brady really wanted to win the weigh-in and had no idea what happened. The camera pauses on her for a minute, and catches that dead-giveaway smirk that she can't control. Vicky and Brady then divulge to Bob that Brady hasn't been eating every four hours like he's supposed to. Bob seems to turn a corner and believe this is what's responsible for the low weight loss. He's still mad that Brady didn't tell him this, though. Brady agrees that he's going to do what Bob says, and Vicky says that they really want to win this week because they know one of them might go home. Apparently they've made a deal with Heba that if they're on the block and Amy C. is the biggest loser for the week, one of them will go. In sum, Bob tells us that he believes that Brady's intentions are good, however Vicky is positively Shakespearean. Out, out, damn portly pepper pot!
