Bob greets his team with concern about how their Vegas trip went. He notes that the body can go into shutdown mode if you don't get enough sleep. Hoo boy do I know it. Don't even get me started about my adrenal burnout. Bob asks how it all goes, and the team is pretty quiet. In an interview, Dan admits that they might have slacked a little. However, he doesn't tell Bob this. Mark is still really upset that Dan and Roger slept in, but he doesn't want to throw them under the bus in front of Bob. And then, the moment you've all been waiting for. Roger interviews, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, baby." I'm sure you're surprised that this came out of his mouth. Bob is quite happy to hear that the Blue Team won the challenge, and works to wrangle an invite to Puerto Rico.
Jillian, meanwhile, is really relieved that the Black Team's prize will not affect the weigh-in. She interviews that if the Black Team loses this weigh-in, it's over for them. There's no way she can keep them safe against Bob's team. Brittany's worried that she's not going to be able to pull the necessary amount of weight. Jillian is very frustrated about her disappointing losses so far. She tells Brittany that it's got to come from somewhere. The thighs, maybe?
Last chance workout! Bob makes it extra hard for the boys' weekend crew. Jillian delivers beatings with extra swearing. Brittany is freaking out. Jillian puts Brittany's treadmill at 14 miles per hour and makes her run. She yells at her to let go of the rails. With only two seconds left of the fifteen Jillian wants her to run, Brittany grabs the rails. Jillian explains that Brittany comes so close to things in life, but right at the end she pulls out. Blah blah life lesson blah. Brittany tries the 14-mile-an-hour run again and succeeds. She interviews that she's had a lot of fear, and that's what's kept her from losing weight for years. Jillian thinks that Brittany's afraid of being successful, because then the pressure's on.
Weigh-in! Roger thinks the Blue Team is poised for success. Jillian tells us that each of her team members has to lose eight pounds, which is a tall order. Dan thinks that he's basically unstoppable. Let's hope that tattoo ink doesn't weigh a lot. The Black Team weighs in, with Kelly first up on the scale. She goes from 218 to 212, for a loss of 6. Very respectable, but not enough to make Kelly confident about her team's chances. Then there's Maggie. She goes from 198 to 190, for a loss of 8. Yay! Though she had a slow start at the beginning of the season, Maggie has really proved her mettle. She's as happy as a pig in slop. A nervous Brittany is up next. She goes from 185 to 179, for a loss of 6. She's pretty happy about that number. And finally, we have Bernie, who knows he has to pull a big boy number. He goes from 211 to 201 for a loss of 10. Nice work, buddy! Bob starts to look a little nervous. Am I seeing things, or is he growing a mullet? Bernie is excited to be two pounds away from being under 200, which he hasn't been since the number was invented. Aw, I like Bernie. His omission from the hand-slapping testosterone-on-a-cracker bullshit is a real boon. The Black Team has lost 30 pounds total, or 3.69%. The Blue Team will have to lose more than 34 pounds to beat them. Given their big numbers last week, they're feeling a little nervous.
