And then it's challenge time for the adults! They meet Sami and a bunch of other folks on the beach, and are notified that they will be running a 5K. $7500 will be given to the Long Beach Boys & Girls Club, because, kids. But there is cash for adults, too! The winning team in the 5K will get $15,000 to split between them. Pam and Danni must be REALLY motivated by this. The race begins! We learn that the winner of the race will be determined by cumulative average, so the whole team doesn't have to stay together in one big pod and hoist the slow ones over the finish line. Joe tries to keep pace with Danni, who takes an early lead due to the fact that she's imagining that Jillian is right behind her, screaming. Gina hits a wall early, Michael has a tough time, and Alex gets a blister on the ball of her foot. She perseveres, though, but has to walk. Danni can hear Joe grunting behind her but tries not to freak out about it, and Pam endeavors not to drag Danni down too much. She admits that Jillian screaming at her about the fact that she actually could run is coming in handy at this moment. Michael thinks about his family, including adorable baby, and it inspires him to push through the pain.
