Mandi is very upset because she knows that Aubrey has five kids at home and could use some damn free Cheerios. Aubrey and Mandi cry together. Mike, who was on the winning Black Team, feels bad about winning a year of groceries when he really doesn't need them. Aubrey interviews that she and Mandi were so upset because they really wanted the prize, but also because they are sick of losing to the Black team. Kristin is sick of how the Black Team gloats in victory. Methinks comeuppance is impending.
The Black Team enjoys letters from home. Helen says that hearing from her husband and son makes her want to work harder and look really good. Reow! Tara got a letter from her mother, who told her that people are looking to her for inspiration. Sione reads a letter from his wife telling him how much she loves him and giving an update on the kids. His son is walking, and Sione is sad that he missed his first steps. But he's even more driven to work hard on behalf of his family. Filipe misses his wife quite a bit, and is happy to get her letter. She's looking forward to starting their healthy life together. The letter didn't make him homesick, but rather gave him more fire to kick ass.
The next day, Mike is still ruminating on the challenge. He goes to Aubrey's room and tells her that, as a college student, he doesn't need the year of free groceries. He asks if she'll allow him to give it to her. The president of General Mills is eating his hat made of Cheerios right now. Aubrey gratefully accepts and gives Mike a big hug. She interviews that it was the sweetest and most selfless thing that anyone's done for her. Aubrey tells Mike that when she had her first two kids she was single and used food from food banks and food drives. She says you really have to swallow your pride to have your kids receive food from volunteers. Mike appreciates that the challenge was extra-emotional for her. Aubrey tells the rest of the contestants that Mike gave him her groceries, and everyone is very moved to hear it. Ron beams with pride. Now they can never vote Mike off!
