Antone is next, with his $500 per pound prize. He goes from 339 to 331 for a loss of 8 pounds or 2.36%. He also wanted 11, but still is excited about the cash and all the Christmas presents it will buy. Vinny and his three pound advantage are next. He goes from 335 pounds to 324, for a loss of 11 pounds. This not only means that he is wildly safe, but he has lost over 100 pounds! Everyone is thrilled for him. Vinny's total percentage of weight lost is 4.18%. Becky is next, and goes from 182 pounds to 177, for a loss of 5 pounds or 2.75%. That's pretty great, considering how small she is. Next is Ramon, who goes from 273 pounds to 268, for a loss of 5 pounds. That's 1.83%, and he's definitely below the yellow line.
Sunny is last to weigh in. She of course has the controversial one pound disadvantage, and it will be either her or John below the yellow line. She goes from 207 to 202, for a loss of 5 pounds. Without the one pound disadvantage, she would have been safe. As it is, however, she falls below the yellow line by one one-hundredth of a point, and John is safe. Sunny says that it doesn't seem right to take away something that she's earned. At least you still have your skin, lady. It could be worse. Also, Dolvett will live to see another week! Huzzah!
Ramon and Sunny plead their cases before the other contestants. Ramon says that he didn't pull the number that he needed to, but wants to be there more than anything. He was hiding behind a wild and jokey persona when he came to the house, but was hiding the fact that he was unhappy and lonely and had failed in many things. On the ranch, he learned lots of stuff about himself, and found good friends and a lady. He wants to stay and finish his journey. Sunny tells the others that she did what she needed to do to stay safe this week, and that being on the show has been an answer to her prayers. The other contestants have been like family, except probably for John. She really wants to stay, too. John cries and apologizes, but Antone wonders if his vote will actually reflect genuine regret. Hint: it won't.
In the voting room, things get underway quickly. Vinny is BFFs with Ramon, so of course votes for Sunny. Becky votes for Ramon. And then John votes for Sunny, ostensibly to show that he's not afraid of Ramon. So, he wasn't all that sorry for putting her in this position after all. If you'll recall, he also did once compare Sunny's brains to a box of hair. I don't think there was any deep relationship between these two. Antone judges John with his eyes, and then reveals that he voted for Ramon. With prompting from Sami, Antone chastises John for not playing a gentleman's game, and for being double-dog dirty with Sunny. John says that he did what's best for him by giving the one pound disadvantage to Sunny, and Antone argues that he could have made up for it in the voting room. Regardless, with tie votes Ramon has been eliminated, since he had the lowest percentage of weight lost.
