Ramon tells us that he came down to the ranch alone, dying, unhealthy, and with Dr. H.-diagnosed diabetes. He was always lying to himself, but on The Biggest Loser, there is no more lying. He's done lots of crazy things in the ten weeks on the ranch, and also found great friends. He says his biggest accomplishment is beating diabetes, and of course the most exciting part has been meeting the love of his life, Jessica. The next time we see Ramon, he says that he's going to have the surprise of a lifetime for Jess. I fear the worst -- a proposal.
We catch up with Ramon in L.A., en route to see Jess. She looks totally great! And so does he. Part one of his surprise is a makeover including shorter hair, groomed facial hair, and decent clothes. Ramon went from 355 pounds when he started on the ranch to 245 today, for a total loss of 110 pounds. He and Jess train together, and we see them running on the beach and whatnot. Jessica apparently had a bucket list on the ranch, and Ramon tells her that he wants to take her on the ultimate date. She looks VERY NERVOUS. I think she has the same fears as me. But instead of a ring, Ramon takes her skydiving. They do it tandem to other people, of course, and it reminds me just how intimate skydiving is. They jump and fall, and then Ramon's parachute doesn't open! No, just kidding, he's fine. He'll live to propose to Jessica on the finale. How odious. Ramon plans to win the marathon and secure a spot in the final three!
Tonight: the Biggest Loser Thanksgiving celebration and reunion! And next week: makeovers!
