The Red Team then pals around and talk about how they love each other. They yell silly things at each other, and Vinny says that even though he's only known the other Red Team members for three weeks, it feels like they're been friends forever. He doesn't know who he'd vote off if they lost a weigh-in. I'd call that an ominous pre-commercial statement.
And then it's time for some Subway takeout and an announcement by Bob that he has some friends for his team to meet during NFL week. Ditto for Anna and Dolvett! The Black Team heads not to the gym for their last chance workout, but to a field where a "massive beast of a human being" is taking a sledgehammer to a tractor trailer tire. It's Shawne Merriman, three-time Pro Bowl linebacker, and boy does he look mean. His arms are huge, and could no doubt kill any of us with a slight flex. Shawne wants to see sweat and tears, and Jennifer predicts that they will all die. There is tire hammering and other sadistic acts, including Bob saying of the scale, "We're going to blow that motherfucker up." He also has Sunny and Joe carry an enormous punching bag, and screams at Sunny when she gets whiny about it. The Black Team then has to do that thing where they push that thing like football players do. It's maybe called a sled? Antone seems to be dreading it, but Shawne has faith in him. Antone pushes, and gets a "Hell yeah," from Shawne, who says that Antone has no quit in him. Shawn then does what I guess is his patented "lights out" dance. He's pretty cute when he doesn't look mean.
The Blue Team members head to the gym, where Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson awaits them. Eric played for the Rams and Colts, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1999. He's 50, and says that he's still in pretty good shape and that age is nothing but a number. Anna tells us that this will be a crazy last chance workout, because she's added new circuit exercises designed to shock their bodies. I think they've finally gotten Anna an actual trainer consultant. Eric explains to us that it's hard to get the weight off when you're an old person, and commends the Blue Team for the work they've been doing. Anna seems a bit harder on her team than she has been, in an effort to keep her job. Mike says it's the most demanding workout he's had so far. That's good! Eric tells the Blue Team members that they should be proud of the weight they've lost, and thanks them for having him. Mike is in love with all the football players.
