Elsewhere, Santa's workshop is falling apart and it turns out that Roy and Chris Claus are kinda broke. Chris is actually a little sad to return to their crunk house with its roof leaks and whatnot. It turns out that in the off season (everything but December), Roy and Chris have an assortment of odd jobs. They travel selling dance shoes (?????), do part time property maintenance (EXCEPT ON THEIR OWN HOUSE), and Chris makes funeral videos. You know, funeral videos. After this episode, the county is totally going to condemn Chris and Roy's home. It's like a Hoarders house, minus the stuff. I guess that's what they call a fixer-upper. You guys, this Christmas Eve leave dollars instead of cookies. Chris would like to go back to the nice leak-free quarters at the ranch, thanks.

Oooh! And then Emily works out with her weight-lifting coach slash dad. He admits that he was possibly too hard on Emily in her youth, but that's what a coach does. This is why your parent should never be your coach. One of the great joys of my young life is the fact that neither of my parents were ever found screaming at a fifth grade girls' softball team. Emily can't lift like she used to, but is just as desperate for her father's approval, so breaks down in the gym. She knows that power lifting is a part of her past, but also is having a hard time getting into the running that Bob has been pushing. She confesses her dream to participate in an iron man, and her dad tells her that she can do anything she sets her mind to. He wants Emily to be happy, and says that he supports her 100% in whatever she wants to do. Emily is relieved that her dad believes in her, and says that it's time for her to start believing in herself. Oh, issues. They never end on this show.
