And then the good news begins. Dr. H. tells Sean that he has type II diabetes and is in denial big time. Mo's biological age is 55, but his real age is 69. He tears up and admits to being frightened. Shay's body is over 57% fat, and she has asthma from fat being pushed into her lungs. Or something. Shays biological age is 29, but her real age is 45. She says that's only three years younger than her mom was when she died. I have a feeling we're going to be hearing a lot about Shay's mom during the course of this season.
Mercifully, we leave Dr. Huizenga and head right to the last chance workout! Or, as Jillian calls it, "Last chance workout, bitch." Jillian also yells at Allen that he's going to be her bitch this whole season. He is too fatigued to argue. Bob assures us that the last chance workout is as brutal and disgusting as we might imagine it to be. Mo works as hard as he can to give Tracey the opportunity to live -- metaphorically, though at this point who knows -- for another week. Julio is a big whiny bitch and keeps falling to the floor. Jillian tells him that every time he lies down she'll think, "Dead father." He gives her a kiss on the lips for it and tells us that he loves her. Shay has a few moments of thinking she'll never get through the last chance workout. But she does, and she vows not to quit again. Sean has a breakdown about the fact that he has type II diabetes, and Bob assures Sean that he's there to help him. Alexandra gets some special attention from Jillian, who notes that she has zero strength or focus. She tells Alexandra that she's acting pathetic. Jillian asks Alexandra about the worst thing she's been through. Alexandra starts to talk about her father leaving and she and her mom struggling, and yells that if she wasn't strong she wouldn't be there. Jillian screams at her to act strong, and Alexandra screams back that she is strong, and these two are totally meant for each other.
And then, it's time for the weigh-in. Sami reminds everyone that their total weight loss percentage as a team will determine if they are above or below the dreaded yellow line. However, only one member of the team will actually go home. Since Tracey is still in the hospital, Mo's weight will count for the entirety of the Purple Team's percentage. The Orange Team has immunity, so weighs in first. Daniel goes from 312 to 300, for a loss of 12, while Shay goes from 476 to 459 for a loss of 17. That's 29 pounds total, or 3.66%. Shay is proud of her 17 pounds, and says that it's the first step in changing her life.
