Then it's time for the challenge! Sami tells the contestants that it's all about balance. What she needs is some balancing shampoo for her busted hair. There are three platforms in the water. Each team will start on its own platform, and the first team members will have to pull themselves to shore with a rope while standing on a little raft. Once on shore, they'll tow the rest of their team in, one by one. The first team to get all of its members to shore wins. Neil says he knew the task wasn't going to be easy, because it's kind of hard to stand on a raft when you're almost 400 pounds. He's ready for it, though. Everyone gets even more motivation when they learn that the winning team gets a session of spa pampering, while the other two teams will have to go through another workout. Clearly, the Black Team is DESPERATE to win this one. Sami tells the Red Team that if they win, they'll get four massages, because Bryan's back! He's been cleared to compete in the challenge: he had strain in his chest, but no heart problems. He's ready to spank the other two teams and continue Red's winning streak. The Black Team has Isabeau and Hollie sit out.
Meanwhile, challenge time! The initial team members on the rafts are Phil for the Red Team, Ryan for the Blue, and Bill for the Black. All of them fall off of their rafts pretty quickly. Thank God for editing, because in real life this must have taken about thirteen days. Bill is the first one to really make progress, and just makes it across the line before falling off the raft. The other two teams haven't gotten anywhere at all. Phil is taking face plants into the water left and right. Black gets its second team member over, and then their third. Meanwhile, Phil falls in the water again. The other teams pretty much just stop trying. The Black Team takes it as their four members make it on shore, as compared to ZERO from the other teams. Jez moons the other teams as he is pulled up to shore. That's a harvest moon if I've ever seen one. In any case, victory for Black, and a well-deserved massage!
We get a brief commercial break, and when we return, it's the last chance workout. The Black Team splashes around in the pool as Jillian yells at them. That's kind of like my dream vacation, I have to say. Jillian's proud that her team won the challenge, but she's not letting up. Julie notes how hard their pool workout was, and says that they'd better cremate the other teams at the weigh-in. Those would be some big urns. The Black Team members then get their massages, which feel even better after they had their asses kicked all damn day.
