Mandi hears voices in her head. It's her sister Aubrey, who helps push her into third place. Helen wants the phone call home and makes up and gets the last phone call. Then it's Mike, Damien, Kristin, Joelle and Filipe. They are all safe. It is down to Jerry and Dan. Jerry's way ahead and takes it slow and steady. Dan says he just doesn't want to die getting to the top. Tara heads halfway back down the mountain with Mandi, and they basically push Dan up the mountain. Eventually Blaine goes down and helps them, too. He finishes the last little bit himself, with encouragement from his teammates. Tara is my hero. She was the first one to run down to him, the rest just followed her lead. And this mountain is damned big. She deserves her immunity this week. She's really proud of herself and feels alive. Aw. Dan thinks he'll be able to overcome the disadvantage. He's glad it's him and not Jerry. Aw. Dan. Seriously, this teenager is making me want to cry. Then Tara is my hero again. She gives her phone call home to Filipe, because he has a family and kids at home. I hate this freakin' show. It makes me so emotional. Filipe is so thrilled and he's crying.
Back on campus, time for the phone calls. Filipe's talking to his wife. She's filled with giggles and says that he sounds different. He doesn't need his inhaler really anymore. Blaine misses his family; his wife is having a baby in two weeks. For him, this is a bigger prize than immunity. He's got a picture of his clan surrounding him while he calls. She was hoping he'd say he was coming home for the baby's birth, but that she's going to be okay. She doesn't want him to be distracted. God damn it. She's crying, he's crying, I'm crying. I don't even KNOW these people yet. He tells her she's amazing. Damn right she is. His room is DISGUSTING. It's a heap of clothes and an unmade bed. Do they not have a Biggest Loser maid on staff?
