Kristin is next, and is worried since her routine was broken this week, which has historically led to low losses. She needs to lose more than 4 pounds to be safe. Kristin goes from 245 to 243 for a loss of 2. Oooh, that's bad news. Kristin is not ready to leave, and totally would have taken her old stripey hair for 3 more pounds. Sad. Her total percentage lost is .82%, and she's definitely below the yellow line. This means that Filipe is safe, and Ron is still in danger. Laura is the only person left to weigh-in, and her fractured hip has been a real setback. Mike and Filipe actually have to carry Laura to the scale. Jillian says she can't watch this. Laura was a mess when she got on campus, but really committed to making a change physically and emotionally. Right when they were in the sweet spot, the fracture happened. She says it's devastating. Laura needs to have lost more than 4 pounds to stay safe. She goes from 205 to 208 for a gain of 3. Tara is sad. Laura is sad. Jillian is really sad and starts tearing up. Laura's hair looks really great, though! She says the makeover made her realize how far she'd come. Filipe and Mike carry Laura off the scale. Jillian says that this is a tough situation because although she doesn't want to see Laura go home, she knows it's best for her. Jillian gives a tiny, sob-wracked speech worthy of Bob. She tells Laura that she's amazing and has come so far, and should be so proud of herself. She adds that Laura just got injured, which was beyond her control, but she shouldn't quit. Laura is sobbing, and everyone else is crying too. Laura has a +1.46% gain, which of course means that she's below the yellow line with Kristin.
Back at the house, Laura tells the others that she wants to be there, and is going to do what she can do to lose weight. But she knows that she has a major injury and if she doesn't take care of it she'll have to have serious surgery. She admits being in a bit of denial about it, and asks the others to vote as if she was not injured. For her part, Kristin says she knows there's a huge gameplay decision here. Laura will struggle week after week if she stays, and will not be a threat. Kristin says that at the beginning of the competition they voted based on who needed to be on campus most. She adds that she was a very sick person, weighing 360 pounds. She's not there to fit in a bikini or win $250,000. She wants to be healthy and have a family. Kristin has a lot of weight to lose and begs the others not to take the cowardly way out just because she's a threat. Oof. I certainly couldn't vote her out after that speech.
