The voters talk amongst themselves. Tara says that Laura is scared, but has come into her own the past few weeks. She adds that Kristin deserves to be there, too. Ron says that this isn't about who or who doesn't need or deserve to be there -- it's about fixing Laura. She can't get the help she needs on campus. It's not about keeping her around to support her, he says, and this has to be about what's the best thing for her. Tara says that Laura has more support on campus than she does at home, and Ron is all, "Hell to the naw." He tells Tara that she's doing a disservice to Laura if she doesn't let her go, and adds that he's been through hip problems and offers to show her his surgery scar. Thanks, I think Tara's all set. Ron interviews that Tara's really fighting for Laura to stay. He doesn't want to believe that Tara is selfish and wants Laura to stick around for the extra vote, but I'm sure that's partially true. Mike interviews that to keep Kristin in the house could be the biggest mistake he's ever made since she can beat him in the end. Filipe says that if they keep Laura in the house to give her support she's not going to stay still and will run the risk of injuring herself further. He asks if it's worth it. Seriously, they should send Laura home. I mean, Tara shouldn't vote for her necessarily, but that is some serious stuff.
It is time for elimination. Laura is pretty defeated. Kristin is nervous. Tara is first to vote. She sobs about how much she loves both of them, but ultimately wants Laura to stay in a supportive environment. She votes for Kristin to leave. Ron is next. He of course votes for Laura to go home, where she can get the treatment she needs. Mike is next. It's hard for him to look past smart decisions, he says, since Kristin is the biggest threat in the house. But Laura has a serious injury and so he votes for her. Helen also loves both of the girls on the block, but especially Laura. She hates that this happened to Laura, and wants her to be strong and get better, but can't bear to say goodbye to her. She votes for Kristin. That leaves Filipe with the deciding vote. Filipe says that Kristin is his sister and has been there for him since day one, so he voted for Laura. And that settles it. Sami tells Laura that she has to take time to recover and get back in the game, and The Biggest Loser is going to help her do that by hooking her up with some amazing doctors. Sami tells her that she has to take care of this, because it's the rest of her life. Tara gives Laura a huge, teary hug, and the light in Laura's refrigerator dies.
