Laura interviews that having a hip fracture is not going to stop her from reaching her goals. We see Laura's transformation from punk to champ, and she says that she's going home with a new confidence and new respect for herself. It will mean the start of a new life for her. Seriously, good for her. She became so much more likeable over the past several weeks, and really seems to have worked out whatever was making her be such a pill early on. She says the next time we see her she'll be pain-free, injury-free, and living the life she's always dreamed of. We catch up with Laura at home, and she looks great. We go with her as she visits with Dr. H. and bone expert Dr. Mink, who shows her that things are going in the right direction with her hip. She also has a physical therapist named Lisa, who tells us that Laura's on the road to achieving her goals. Laura has been able to maintain her weight loss with the injury, and hopes that this will send a message to America that you can still lose or maintain your weight no matter what your circumstances. Laura has lost a total of 77 pounds since coming to campus, and is committed to her goal of losing 100 pounds by the finale.
Next week: An emotional conversation between Mike and Ron.
