Then, it's time for the trio challenge. Each team has to push a big metal arm in a circle. Well, one person has to push while the other two teammates are in a metal basket attached to the arm. Team members can swap out at any time. The first team to complete 75 revolutions wins. Kae is nervous, because she doesn't know if she has the strength to push everyone's weight, plus the weight of the giant arm. I'd feel her, if I had an f'ing clue what's going on. The winner of the challenge gets some sort of Biggest Loser brand home exercise equipment. It has a talking Jillian bobble head doll that yells, "BEATINGS!" every time you do a rep.
The teams begin pushing their big metal arms. All the spinning is making me dizzy, and I can't remember who is on what team anymore. All I know is that I'm hoping someone collapses Osmond-style. Bill and Bryan seem to be doing the bulk of the work for their respective teams, and they end up in a showdown. Bill hands it off to Amy for reasons unknown, as Bryan passes his giant-metal-arm pushing off to Nicole. Amy, Bill and Julie end up winning. My theory is that they were so far ahead that they figured they'd let Amy push a little to build up her confidence. In any case, they're psyched and are feeling all team-bonding-y.
And then, it's product placement of the episode! Bob tells Nicole all about Quaker low-fat oatmeal. Oooh, so much fiber! And in the revolutionary oatmeal flavor of maple brown sugar! Delish.
Last-chance workout! Kim drops ANOTHER f-bomb, saying they're going to have the best f***ing last-chance workout ever! David says he thinks it was a good decision to stick with Kim, because she's helped him lose weight even if she's annoying as hell. Bob runs outdoors with his former Blue Team. Jillian administers beatings, per usual. She says she thinks Amy has a lot of potential that she just hasn't hit. Jillian amps up the speed on the treadmill, and Julie gives Amy some encouragement to get her through it. Jillian thinks that Amy can be pushed, but Kim didn't push Amy hard enough, and this made Amy feel weak. Kim, who is looking at every move made by Jillian and Amy with serious stink-eye, thinks that Amy is making a huge mistake training with Jillian and will look back and regret it. Yeah, because Kim's training techniques had been so successful all along, as evidenced by the three Red Team members who are left. I hope that Amy loses 18 pounds, and this makes Jillian so excited that she puts Kim in a headlock.
Weigh-in! The trainers are not going to be there. David is glad about this, but I'm kind of sad, because Jillian always looked so foxy in her little muscle shirts. Sami looks like a poodle bathed in peroxide. Just shave it off and give her a wig, for God's sake. But anyway, Team One. Bill is up first. He was at 268 and now weighs 261, for a loss of 7. Amy is next. Oooh! I can't wait. She was previously at 265 and now weighs...265. Oh, shit. Everyone looks kind of nervous. Amy is really upset. I don't know, maybe that huge stack of fat on a stick she ate during the poker game had something to do with it. Julie was at 195 and now weighs 192, for a loss of three. Team One thus lost 10 pounds, which equals 1.37% of their body weight.
