"Blue satin," Tim reminds Charlotte. "Big white flower in your hair." Charlotte has had enough of this, so she takes the gun from Ray and shoots Tim in the left shoulder her own damn self. While he's writhing in the Martian dirt and Ray's freaking out, Charlotte shoots him twice more and tells Ray to calm down. "Calm down? You killed Tim!" Ray yells. "He was our buddy!" Not to argue that this was a good idea on any level, but I think he was more your buddy, Ray. And you might want to dial it back again unless you want to be next. Still, Ray has learned an important lesson: when going with Charlotte to "scare" someone, don't load the gun.
Ruiz is driving as he's on the phone with Tate, who asks him, "How's your wife?" Ruiz says not to talk about her, like he's in any position. And of course, speaking of positions, Tate tells Ruiz, "I had sex with her." Which is entirely truthful. "Did you know that?" Ruiz doesn't believe it, but Tate's got details and doesn't mind sharing. "Where am I driving?" Ruiz asks, trying to change the subject. Tate says it's okay that Alma survived, since it wasn't her fault. "It's not Gus's fault either," Ruiz says. Tate says that Gus is Ruiz's son, "like Caleb was mine," so that's totally logical.
Ruiz asks again where he's going. "Franklin Mountain Park," Tate says, and then in the same conversational tone, "Did you do it at my house?" Ruiz knows better than to try lying right now, so he reluctantly confesses that they did. "In my bed, with my wife," Tate says, growing slightly less conversational. "What was your plan?" Ruiz says he didn't have one. "Did you think it was okay as long as I didn't find out?" "No." "Did you even think about telling me?" "No" "No, you just wanted what you wanted," Tate lectures. "Who cares who it hurts?" Ruiz doesn't have an answer, so he says he's approaching the park. Tate snaps, "Lot J, near the quarry," and throws down his phone. Wow, he's actually gotten himself a little worked up there. Maybe this is Ruiz's only hope -- make Tate angry enough that he makes a mistake. Or, failing that, breaks something.
When Cross returns to the station, Wade takes one look at her and asks, "Where's Marco?" Without looking at him, Cross says he got a call and left. "got a call from who?" Wade asks, but Cross ignores him and heads right on into the kitchen. She stands suffering over the open refrigerator door, until Kitty gets up to prevail upon Cross to sit down. The view from Kitty's desk is the break room? That sucks for her. She grabbing some milk and a banana from the fridge like this is a family kitchen instead of a workplace with people's names on everything -- and a workplace where stealing food is liable to get you arrested, at that. "I don't like bananas," Cross protests weakly, because she doesn't like anything. Kitty says she doesn't care. "You're supposed to be on an operating table right now and I understand why you're not, but you will be no good to Marco and his boy if you faint or get sick or get hurt even worse." Shakily accepting a glass of milk, Cross says they need to keep looking and they're missing something. "It's in those documents, I know it." Kitty says, "Just drink that and then back at it." For someone who doesn't like Cross very much, she sure gets her.
