Outside, a bomb squad tech hands the phone that was attached to the "bomb" in to Cross while she and Ruiz sit in her car. With a glove covering her finger, she triggers the message. An electronically disguised voice recites, "There are five murders a year in El Paso. In Juarez, thousands. Why? Why is one dead white woman more important than so many dead just across the bridge? How long can El Paso look away? We've got some interesting times ahead. This is only the beginning." Sounds like a network promo. I just hope it's true.
