Kate and Johnny walk down a hallway. Kate says that she thinks Johnny's powers are amazing. Johnny says she can ask questions about it if she wants to. Kate asks if he can "see things about a certain person." Johnny says he doesn't read minds, but that he can see things that just happened or are about to happen. He asks if she has something to hide. Kate sounds embarrassed, but then admits that she "had a huge crush on [Johnny] back in the day." Johnny can't believe it, and asks when this was. Kate says it was their senior year. Johnny points out that nothing ever happened between them. Kate says they hung out every day. Johnny says that she was always into "the stinky headbangers with bad attitude." Who isn't, really? Johnny adds that he was "just another skinny geek." Another Breakfast Club reference. Kate says that she thought he was "just a really decent guy." Johnny makes fun of her a little bit and then says that he could have been another obnoxious bastard for all she knew. Kate says she knew he was decent because she saw how he was with Sarah. Johnny asks why she never said anything and Kate repeats that she saw how he was with Sarah.
Back at the party, Sarah takes pictures of Jason dancing. She notices Kate and Johnny walking back in from outside, and calls them over for a picture. Johnny poses with his arms around Kate and Jason, but as the picture is taken, he goes into a vision. It's the end of Jason's operation, just like before, but now everything starts running backwards. Johnny follows the heart out of Jason's chest and back to the original donor. Then he follows the original donor back to the ambulance and back to the car accident in which he or she died. Time stops. Johnny wanders through the frozen accident scene and finds out that the heart donor is...Kate! Johnny snaps out of the vision. Sarah checks out the picture she took, and sees that Johnny wasn't looking at the camera. She wants to retake the shot, but Johnny excuses himself and takes off. Sarah, Kate, and Jason look confused.
Johnny goes to Faith Heritage and explains to Rev. Purdy what he saw. Johnny realizes that if he can prevent the accident, Jason won't get a heart. Rev. Purdy says that Johnny doesn't know that, and agrees, but points out that Jason has a high risk of organ rejection, so it makes "a sick kind of sense" that Jason would get his sister's heart. Purdy says that this isn't a dilemma Johnny should face on his own. Johnny says he doesn't want guidance, and that he's not going to choose which friend lives and which one dies. Purdy doesn't think that's Johnny's choice to make anyway. Johnny can do nothing, and Faith Heritage can cut through the red tape and get Jason to the top of the organ donor list.
