Vicky goes to the bathroom. In the stall, she detaches stuff from her garter and reaches into her lipstick case and generally puts together a plastic gun. Good thing she brought that stuff along when Sean kidnapped her, huh? I like how this show ignores all sorts of realism issues (like how Sean and Vicky found two stooges who had been invited to the party) and then gets really obsessive about showing a metal detector and then explains how Vicky got a gun in there.

They go downstairs into the party and over to Jarvis, who is glad-handing people who are happy to see him well. Vicky turns her face away while Sean introduces himself as Ted Fisk. Vicky turns and tells Jarvis they've met so that he can look shocked to see her. Man, good thing she put on that wig so he wouldn't recognize her two seconds too early. She says that if he calls for the Secret Service, he'll be dead. Sean tells him to tell his detail that he needs a moment alone. I am surprised that the Secret Service weren't told not to let Jarvis out of their sight. But they weren't! So Jarvis, Sean and Vicky stroll off out of the main party, making it 7.5% less ritzy.

The male stooge (Ted Fisk, I guess) regains consciousness in the hotel room, but his duct tape gag keeps his shouts from being heard. He slides over to the door and kicks it repeatedly.

Sean and Vicky have Jarvis alone in a room. Sean wants the proof that will put Dempsey away. But Jarvis says that Dempsey is threatening his wife and children if he comes forward. And there's no physical proof, anyway. It would just be his word against Dempsey's. Vicky tells him to keep his voice down. Sean is so intense that he might vibrate right into a parallel universe. I apologize for that line, but I've been reading a lot of comic books this week.

Ted Fisk keeps kicking. A maid hears and opens the door. When she removes the duct tape from his face, he immediately tells her to call 911 because the VP is in danger. Wow, that guy's all business. He doesn't waste a minute on "Ow, my head!" or "I think my wife might be dead!"
