Down on the ground, there is pandemonium. Simon drives along a bridge and he's somehow kept pace with the plane this whole time. He tells the people on the jet fighter that they should blow up the plane, but something's jamming their systems. The wind picks up. Things get shaky.

And when the plane's very close to the ground, it gets swallowed up by a special effect. Some sort of plasma burst is my guess. Sophia looks to the sky. The Prez is asked repeatedly if he's okay. Sophia says, "They saved us." The Prez asks, "Who? Who saved us?" "I haven't told you everything." Yeah, I'll say you haven't.

So let's see here. There are 97 people being kept in a camp in Alaska where they have research labs. And our main character appears to be Sean Walker, who even the official descriptions describe as an "everyman hero." Maybe it's me, but I prefer my heroes to be more specific. Jack Bauer isn't an Everyman; he's a supercompetent killing machine. Like Batman! I want more of that. I'm hoping later episodes give more personality characteristics than "the guy with the square jaw" and "Hey, it's Luke from Gilmore Girls!"

Also, I'm pretty sure it's aliens. Right?
