Jacob, however, doesn't have a very long or happy relationship with death. He's still trying to work up the nerve to kill Megan. But it's not working. He unties her and tells her to get out of there. The way he's yelling, Emma is going to hear him. Of course, there's not a door out of the basement. Megan has to go up the stairs and into the kitchen. She can hear the TV Emma is watching. She goes out the back door, and Emma hears her. She grabs a knife and runs after her, followed by Paul. Run, Megan! Run like there's a possibility you'll get away! But you're a woman of color on a primetime show about murder, so you totally won't!

Megan hides behind something--the well?--while Paul and Emma stalk her in the dark. He's just about to stumble over her when Emma calls him. Megan stands up and starts running again, but then runs right into Emma. Paul is behind her. Emma stabs Megan in the gut. Megan groans, but Emma scoffs that it's only a flesh wound. Megan tries again to get away, but Paul tackles her and the three of them wrestle for the knife.

Maggie rips open Ryan's shirt (still no gnarly scar!) and continues her deranged monologuing, this time saying one of her foster fathers had a pacemaker. Maggie says she read Ryan's book, and she knows Ryan needs it to live. She asks if he knows that electromagnetic fields can interrupt a pacemaker, and sets a great big battery on Ryan's chest. Jenny is crying and Maggie snaps at her to shut up, because she has the easy role. Where the hell is Mike?

Ryan is trying to convince Maggie that Carroll wouldn't want her to kill him, and Maggie says she isn't, Carroll is, because he's the one who stabbed Ryan in the heart. Maggie's just shutting off the pacemaker. Maggie asks Jenny if she's watching, then mentions how cursed their family is and presses down on the battery over Ryan's heart as she warbles about how much she and Rick were in love. Maggie cuts the tape on Ryan's hands.
