Flashback. Olivia meets Hank, who thanks her for seeing him after hours. He says Joe Carroll asked him to give her a message. He takes out a pair of garden shears.

Olivia asks Carroll not to pull her any further into his mess. He says they're just getting started, and he has so much other work for her. She starts crying, then pulls out a pen and notepad to write down what he wants. She's missing the pinky and ring fingers on her left hand. ACK. Carroll smiles when he sees her mangled hand.

Claire is rushing to get to the meeting place. She checks her watch and looks around. An SUV pulls up in front of her and Eyebrows tells her to get in if she wants to see Joey. She does. Oh Claire. You should've stayed in Harlan. Your wardrobe was way better there.

Joey pulls down his curtains and uses the rod to smash the lock on his bedroom door. Emma and Jacob find dead Hank in the barn, along with Lopez. She asks if Jacob thinks Lopez was alone.

Ryan rushes through the bushes and finds a basement window. He pries away the boards in front of it, kicks in the window and climbs in. Megan is weeping and whimpering in the dark. Ryan pulls off the tape and covers her mouth with his hand, telling her who he is and that she needs to be quiet. He asks how many there are. She tells him and says they're going to kill her. Upstairs, Joey uses his skateboard to pry open the bedroom door.

Ryan asks Megan if there's a kid in the house, and she says she doesn't know and pleads with him to get her out of there. I wouldn't trust this one, honey. His track record keeping people who aren't at the top of the call sheet alive is not good. Ryan creeps up the stairs and through the house, which is empty. Joey, at the top of the stairs, sees him and ducks back into a doorway. Ryan asks if Joey remembers him, and says Claire sent him to take him home. Paul pops up behind Ryan, holds a gun to the back of his head, and tells him not to move.

Next week: Eyebrows has been stalking Claire. Emma and the others hold Ryan at gunpoint while he tells them every law enforcement organization on the eastern seaboard is coming for them. Paul threatens to shoot him, Ryan threatens to kill Jacob. Carroll naps blissfully, because he's a miserable bastard who's enjoying all of this.
